CNG Fueling Station

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Facility

CNG is a fuel that burns cleaner and is less expensive than either gasoline or diesel fuel. The City of Ontario operates a fleet of vehicles that run on CNG fuel.

The CNG station is also open for use by the public, seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. The station is located at 1440 South Cucamonga Avenue.

The system is activated with a Visa or MasterCard.

The office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For additional information, please call (909) 395-2649.

City of Ontario Expands CNG Fleet and Upgrades CNG Fueling Facility

Within the last two months, the City of Ontario has taken possession of two new CNG powered refuse trucks. The purchase of two frontloading trucks brings the City’s fleet of CNG refuse powered vehicles to seventy-one. In addition to CNG powered refuse trucks, the City has four CNG powered Ford F-150’s, six CNG powered Honda Civics and three CNG powered sewer vactors.

The City of Ontario has completed the upgrade to the CNG fueling facility. The project includes the installation of new and replacement fuel dispensers and provision of additional CNG fuel storage capacity.

The City was awarded a grant fund from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) Local Government Match Program in the amount of up to $400,000 for expansion and improvements to the City’s CNG fueling facility.
