Ontario Police are investigating a shooting that led to the death of a 55-year-old Ontario man, in the area of Fourth Street and Vine Avenue, in the City of Ontario.

Police were called to the scene of the shooting yesterday evening at approximately 7:23 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim laying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The Ontario Fire Department arrived on scene, treated and immediately transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died. Three juvenile suspects were reported fleeing the scene prior to police arrival.

A short distance away patrol officers arrested two juveniles in connection to the shooting and recovered a firearm. Ontario Police Detectives along with forensic investigators responded to the scene. Through investigative efforts worked by police personnel throughout the night, the third juvenile was taken into custody early this morning. All three juveniles arrested reside in the City of Pomona. Due to their juvenile status, their names and identifying information will not be released. All three juveniles were booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall for Homicide, Attempt Robbery, and Conspiracy.
