In light of a storm expected to bring 2-3 inches of rain on Thursday, the City of Ontario is offering free sandbags to prevent and mitigate flooding for Ontario residents.

Unfilled sandbags, with a limit of 15 per household, are available for pickup from any Ontario Fire Station. Sand is available to fill picked-up bags at Anthony Munoz Park, De Anza Park, and John Galvin Park. Please bring your own shovel to fill sandbags.

Officers from the Ontario Police Department cited four clerks for selling alcohol to minors on March 17, 2018. The actions were the result of a minor decoy operation in which minors, under the direct supervision of department investigators, attempted to purchase alcohol from 8 retail licensees in the City of Ontario.

Haghani served as Development Director for the City of Ontario since July of 2017. The Ontario Police Department would like to wish its Baker to Vegas Running Team strong runs with lightning fast speed.

On Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2018, 20 sworn officers (ranging from Police Officer to Lieutenant), 5 alternates and a support crew of 30 volunteers will participate in the ultimate relay race of 20 legs spanning 120 miles. The race will begin in Baker, California and stretch across challenging desert terrain until culminating in a high-energy finish line set in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ontario Police Officers conducted shoulder tap operations at Circle K located at 405 N. Vineyard Avenue, AM/PM located at 2195 S. Haven Avenue, 7-Eleven located at 3490 E. Jurupa Street, Mountain Mission Liquor located at 830 S. Mountain Avenue, Mountain Market and Liquor located at 1035 W. Philadelphia Street, Andy’s Market located at 1245 N.
