Ontario Police Department will step up Bike & Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operations on January 16, 2018 with focused enforcement on collision causing factors involving motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.

The department has mapped out locations over the past three years where pedestrian and bike collisions have occurred along with the violations that led to those crashes. Extra officers will be on duty patrolling areas where bike and pedestrian traffic and crashes occur in an effort to lower deaths and injuries.

Detectives are releasing the booking photograph of Youth Pastor Gerardo Custodio Jr., believing there may be additional victims or witnesses and they are encouraging them to come forward.

Gerardo Custodio Jr. has been the Youth Pastor for many years at the Iglesia La Familia De Dios Church located at 1305 North Euclid Avenue in Ontario. Gerardo Custodio Jr. was away from the church while attending college but has been back since 2011.

Ontario Police Officers have recovered a child who was kidnapped when a suspect stole his father’s truck.

On January 12, 2018, at approximately 10:16 PM, Ontario Police Dispatch received a 911 call from a man who stated his vehicle had just been stolen with his 10-year-old son inside. The man had pulled into the Chevron gas station located in the 1000 block of North Ontario Mills Drive to fuel his pick-up truck. He allowed his son to stay in the vehicle as he went into the store.
