ONTARIO RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES ANNOUNCES DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS COMMUNITY ALTAR & PREOCESSION

Celebrate the life and memory of your loved ones who have passed away at the Día De Los Muertos Community Altar. Día De Los Muertos is a beautiful, traditional holiday that is celebrated worldwide to honor, celebrate, and remember the lives of friends and family who have passed.

The Community Altar will be on display beginning October 25 – November 5 at the R. Jack Mercer Community Bandstand along Euclid Avenue.

NEW this year, we will have a Día De Los Muertos Procession on November 1 at 6:30 PM. It is open to all and we encourage the community to dress in your best Día De Los Muertos-themed attire. The procession will begin on the median at D St. and Euclid Ave., and conclude at the R. Jack Mercer Community Bandstand. Participants will enjoy a mariachi performance, dance performances, crafts, and face painting.

Looking for more ways to celebrate Día De Los Muertos? Enter the Altar Showcase, an opportunity to take pride and create your own altar along the Euclid Ave median. Proposals will be reviewed prior to approval.
