DUI Enforcement Operation Planned this Weekend

Officers from the Ontario Police Department’s DUI Enforcement Team will be deploying this weekend to stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers in the department’s ongoing traffic safety campaign. DUI Saturation Patrols will deploy on Friday, July 1, 2016 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. in areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and / or arrest.

Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion® Ready to Accept Vehicle Registrations for the 2016 Event

The Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion®, powered by the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, has announced early vehicle registration is now open but limited to the first 1,800 approved vehicles and motorcycles from 1900 – 1975. Vehicle pre-registration fees are only $50 per vehicle if made on or before July 31, then the price increases to $60 per vehicle from August 1 – August 31. The Ontario Fire Department Wants To Remind The Community That Possession And Use Of Any Fireworks Within The City Of Ontario Is Prohibited

In May 2007, the Ontario City Council enacted an ordinance which reaffirmed existing Ontario Municipal Codes prohibiting fireworks and declared fireworks within the City of Ontario a nuisance, carrying a $1,000 fine. This fine is in addition to any other civil penalty, criminal prosecution or fine. Ontario revised the ordinance in October 2015 to include:

City of Ontario Celebrates Independence Day

The City of Ontario will host several family friendly events on Monday, July 4, 2016. The annual parade will begin at 9 AM on southbound Euclid Avenue beginning at Fourth Street and ending at B Street.
