Studio Saturdays: Healing and Supporting Mother Earth with Love with Joy Art Club

The Museum welcomes artist Cynthia Huerta, founder of Love with Joy Art Club to lead a three-part series of art making sessions centered on community expression, BIPOC stories, and joy. In honor of Earth Day, participants will create their own “casitas” or houses symbolizing Earth as our home. Through the use of mixed media materials and the art-practice of collage, you will learn how sustainable practices can heal and support Mother Earth.  Love with Joy Art Club is a project that aims to support an expansion of community art through free and accessible art workshops and create more opportunity and inclusion for marginalized communities.  Sign up is recommended but not required.
