Friends of the Ontario City Library

The Friends of Ontario City Library (FOCL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which raises money for the Ontario City Library through used book sales, fundraisers and donations. The Friends also advocate on the library's behalf throughout the community. Funds raised go to support and supplement educational and cultural programming and other services.

Get Involved

The easiest way to get involved is to join the Friends of Ontario City Library as a member. You can pick up and fill out a membership form at any of our library locations or join online at the Friends of Ontario City Library website.

You can also volunteer to serve as a Friends board member or become a volunteer bookseller. Board members use their time and talents to make a positive difference in our community. Booksellers help sort through donated books and other items. Adults can apply for volunteer positions at any of our library locations.

Donate

Donations to the Friends of Ontario City Library are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Book and cash donations are accepted. For cash donations contact the Friends via phone, email or their website. 

Donations of used books, magazines and media are always welcome. Visit your any of our library locations to donate. To donate more than three banker-sized boxes or grocery store sized bags, please to make an appointment. Please note that all items donated must be clean and in good condition. We cannot accept items that are water-damaged, moldy, or musty. 

If you have old yearbooks, photographs, books, and documents pertaining to the history of Ontario, the Inland Empire or California that you would like to donate, please contact the Robert E. Ellingwood Model Colony History Room at 909-395-2206 or email LocalHistory@OntarioCA.gov.
