Environmental Documents

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires public agencies to consider the potential environmental effects of proposed activities and to prevent significant, avoidable environmental damage. The process includes involving the public and other agencies in the environmental review process.

When a new development or project is proposed in the City of Ontario, the City uses the CEQA process to understand how the proposal may impact the environment. The process includes opportunities for the public to provide input and ask questions.

Find notices to prepare a new EIR (Environmental Impact Report) below, and you can also view current draft EIRs and adopted EIRs.
