Blue Envelope Program

The Blue Envelope Program is a voluntary program that aims to improve communication between law enforcement and people with disabilities or disorders, including autism spectrum disorder.

Citizen's Academy

The Citizen's Academy is a course offered in both English and Spanish for the general public designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Ontario Police Department.

Chaplain Program

Police Chaplains are spiritual leaders who provide emotional and spiritual support to law enforcement officers, staff, their families, and victims of crime. Police Chaplains often are brought in to assist with emotionally stressful situations.

Explorer Program

A Police Explorer is a young adult who has a desire to learn about law enforcement as a career through firsthand experience. An Explorer has the opportunity to learn all aspects and functions of the Police Department.

False Alarm Program

The goal of the False Alarm ordinance and the City’s partnership with Phoenix Group LLC is to reduce the number of false alarm activations requiring a response by the Ontario Police Department.

Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in their communities.

Ontario National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Oversize Vehicle Permits

The City of Ontario's Oversized Vehicle Parking Ordinance requires a permit be displayed to park oversized vehicles on a public street. An oversize vehicle is defined as any vehicle, motorized or non-motorized, that exceeds 20 feet in length, or exceeds 80 inches in width or 78 inches in height or that weighs more than 6,000 pounds (gross vehicle weight).

Safe Return Program

The Safe Return Program is a public safety program designed to protect and locate missing persons.

Youth Academy

The Youth Academy is a FUN and FREE educational program that is open to teens between the ages of 12 to 17 years old.
