City of Ontario earns 2026 Top Workplaces for Engineering Award

ONTARIO, Calif. – The City of Ontario has been recognized with a 2026 Top Workplaces for Engineering Award, a national honor celebrating organizations that create outstanding workplace cultures for engineering professionals.

This recognition is based entirely on employee feedback collected through a confidential third-party survey administered by Energage LLC. The survey measures key aspects of workplace culture, including feeling respected and supported, opportunities for growth and empowerment to perform meaningful work.

For the City of Ontario, this award reflects the dedication and talent of the employees who help design, maintain, improve and protect the infrastructure that serves the community every day. It also reinforces the City’s commitment to cultivating a workplace where employees feel valued and inspired to make a difference.

Ontario’s engineering professionals in the Ontario Municipal Utilities Company and Public Works Agency play a vital role in shaping a safe, efficient and forward-looking city. Their work supports clean water systems, roadway improvements, traffic mobility, development review, construction standards and the public infrastructure that residents and businesses rely on daily.

This recognition reflects the people behind the work. The City’s engineering teams combine technical expertise with public service to help Ontario grow responsibly, innovate boldly and serve our community with excellence.

The Engineering Award is the latest in a series of Workplace honors Ontario has earned over the years. Earlier this month, the City earned the prestigious 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplaces award for the third consecutive year. And in February, the City was honored by the Riverside Press-Enterprise and the Inland News Group as an Inland Empire California Top Workplace 2025.
