City of Ontario launches “Ask Ontario” digital assistant to improve access to city services
ONTARIO, Calif. – The City of Ontario has launched “Ask Ontario,” a new digital assistant designed to make it easier for residents, businesses and visitors to connect with city services and information any time of day.
Available 24 hours a day through the city’s website, Ask Ontario provides instant assistance with commonly asked questions, helps users navigate city departments and services, and allows residents to submit service requests directly online.
The new platform is designed to improve accessibility and convenience for Ontario’s diverse and growing community. Ask Ontario can communicate in more than 70 languages and is accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
Residents can begin using Ask Ontario by visiting OntarioCA.gov and clicking the chat icon located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Among its features, Ask Ontario can:
• Answer questions about city programs, services and events
• Direct users to the appropriate department or online resource
• Assist residents in submitting service requests
• Provide multilingual support for residents and visitors
• Offer convenient access to information outside traditional business hours
The platform was developed in partnership with Citibot, a provider of digital communication tools for local governments nationwide.
By introducing Ask Ontario, the city continues its efforts to modernize customer service and enhance community engagement through innovative technology solutions.
