Fraud Alert: Beware of Fake Payment Requests

ONTARIO, Calif. – The City has been notified of fraudulent emails and invoices requesting payment for permits and development projects.

Remember: The City does not request payment by email or wire transfer. All permit and development fees must be paid through the Accela Citizen Access payment portal or in person at City Hall.

If you receive a suspicious email, invoice, or payment request, do not make a payment until you have verified its authenticity. Contact the appropriate City department or call (909) 395-2000 for assistance.

When in doubt, verify before you pay.
