Mission, Vision, Goals:
- Ontario Promise Corps seeks to address systemic racial inequities and break the cycle of poverty by increasing educational attainment, (career certificates & college degrees), for all low income and/or first-generation youth in the community.
- This will be achieved through a sustainable cradle-to-college system, which begins by linking and expanding Early Family Literacy work at the City libraries; middle school Youth Mentoring/Development work by the City Recreation Department and Hope Through Housing Foundation, and college access/enrollment support by the Promise Scholars.
Four service site locations:
-
- Ontario Library – Veteran’s Park
- Ontario Recreation & Community Services – De Anza Community & Teen Center
- Hope Though Housing Foundation
- Ontario-Montclair Schools Foundation: Promise Scholars
