Incident: Minor Decoy Operation

(Ontario, CA) On March 14, 2020, the Ontario Police Department conducted a Minor Decoy Grant Project Operation. The operation was designed to ensure compliance of establishments with ABC regulations and procedures.

During the operation, seven locations were tested. Three locations which are listed below, were found to be in violation of selling alcohol to a minor. In addition to the initial violations, four subjects were arrested for selling alcohol to minors. All subjects who violated the law were arrested and released on a notice to appear citation.

This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s Minor Decoy / Shoulder Tap Grant Project, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
