Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

Ontario Police arrested a man suspected of attempting to kidnap and sexually assault a male juvenile.

On August 17, 2022, at 4:10 PM, Ontario Police received a call from a 15-year-old male stating an adult male was attempting to kidnap him. The victim was able to fight off the attack, which occurred in the 3800 block of Riverside Avenue, and flee from the suspect before calling police.

Officers responded to the area of the attack and began following leads based on information received from the victim. Investigators were able to identify the suspect as Treyveon Demerre Deadwyler, a 34-year-old male from Ontario. Deadwyler was on active parole for a previous sexual assault conviction.

Investigators located Deadwyler walking in the 2900 block of South Alder Creek Drive, blocks away from the attack. He was arrested without incident and booked at West Valley Detention Center without bail on the charges of kidnapping with intent to commit rape, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, child annoyance, and a violation of parole.
