About the Ontario Senior Center

The Ontario Senior Center is proud to offer multiple services for our Ontario active adults and a variety of programs, activities and classes that accompany the traditional programs that many in our community have come to depend on. The Code of Conduct is strictly enforced for all activities and programs within the Ontario Senior Center. All participants must complete an emergency card before engaging in any activity or program. Programs are subject to change due to health and safety protocols.

Active Seniors On the Go

Health and wellness combining light aerobic exercise, walking, corn hole and lawn bowling that aid in building up core strength and improving balance. Twenty-four week program begins in January for new participants. Available for ages 50 and up.

Adult Protective Services

Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is dedicated to helping seniors. Call the Ontario Senior Center Hotline for an appointment at (909) 395-2021. Available for ages 65 and up.

Adult & Senior Services

A variety of social services are available through the Ontario Senior Center. Please call for referral information or to schedule an in-house appointment. Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board, West End Family Counseling, HICAP and Well-being Checks provide monthly on-site services. Available for ages 65 and up.

Bingo

Licensed bingo is offered once a week for a minimum buy-in
of $3. Double action and special cards along with ten regular
games. The Code of Conduct is strictly enforced, and all
participants must have an emergency card on file before
participating. Valid ID is required.

Friday Night Dance

Ballroom-style dancing meets Latino flare on a beautiful wood floor featuring live music. Adding a Latino night for Spanish music only. Each participant must have an emergency card on file. Dances are offered on three Friday nights each month. Available for ages 50 and up.

Provides legal help for Estate Planning, Public Benefits, and
more. Every first Monday of the month except for legal holidays.

Visit with a representative from HI-CAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) regarding the upcoming open enrollment period.

Silver S.T.A.R.S

The YMCA, in partnership with the City of Ontario, offers free transportation to and from the Ontario Senior Center for Ontario residents. This service is available Monday- Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. All pick-up and drop-off times are pre-scheduled. For our Ontario active adults 55 years and up. Seniors interested in using this service must call in advance for pick-up and leave a voice message. Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance, you will be contacted for confirmation. To schedule transportation, contact the YMCA and leave a message at (909) 988-1864.
