Arrest Made in Animal Cruelty Video Case

Police have arrested the juvenile suspect seen in the video throwing a cat into the street.

Police were notified early Saturday morning of a video depicting a male subject intentionally throwing a cat into the street. Officers immediately started investigating the incident and were able to identify the suspect later that afternoon. Police have been working leads since that time and located the suspect on foot at approximately 1:45pm this afternoon.

Ontario Officers spotted the suspect near 7th Street and Berlyn Ave in the City of Upland, at approximately 1:45pm.

When the suspect saw the officers, he ran but was quickly tackled and taken into custody.

The Arrestee is a 16-year-old juvenile resident of Ontario. Due to his juvenile status, his name and additional information will not be released.

The suspect was booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall for 597PC, Felony Animal Abuse.
