Officers from the Ontario Police Department’s DUI Enforcement Team will be deploying during the week to stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers in the department’s ongoing traffic safety campaign. DUI Saturation Patrols will deploy on Thursday, May 5, 2016 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. in areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and / or arrest.

The Veterans Resource Center at the Ontario City Library is now open and providing assistance to veterans in the Inland Empire area. The center has five trained volunteers to aid veterans and their families obtain benefits. The center is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. Veterans do not need an appointment to come to the center for assistance, but are welcome to make an appointment if more convenient.

On March 19, 2016, Kaiser Permanente awarded the City of Ontario and the Healthy Ontario Initiative an additional $1 million to expand and strengthen their existing HEAL (Healthy Eating, Active Living) interventions in the Ontario HEAL Zone for another three years, Phase 2.
