SUMMER AT ONTARIO CITY LIBRARY: “READING, CAN YA DIG IT?”

This year’s summer reading theme, Reading, Can Ya Dig it, is a celebration of all the ways reading can take us digging deeper into a genre to find new books and authors to enjoy, or digging into a topic to discover more about subjects we love. Ontario City library encourages summer reading each year to help children maintain their academic levels. Reading expands vocabulary for all ages. Adults can improve concentration and memory, and reading can be enjoyable. Ovitt Family Community Library and Lewis Family branch welcome children, families, teens, and adults of all ages to pre-register now for Summer at Ontario City Library at OntarioCA.Beanstack.org.

To celebrate summer, the Ovitt Family Community Library will be hosting performances from talented performers. On Monday, June 19th at 6:00 pm learn all about wildlife in an educational presentation with real animals by Wonders of Wildlife. On Monday, July 17th at 6:00 pm enjoy a magic show with magician David Skale.  Please call (909) 395-2004 for more information on these programs.  Summer at Ontario City Library begins on Monday, June 5th, and ends on Sunday, July 30th. Readers can visit either library branch to pick up weekly incentives and enter for a chance to win grand prizes.

The Ontario City Library offers various online reading and learning programs for all ages, and others year-round at its two branches. Please visit OntarioCA.gov/Library to check out the calendar of events and see when other exciting programs are scheduled.
