Ontario Police Department identified and contacted a juvenile subject who is responsible for the post related to an online threat at Ray Wiltsey Junior High School.
During the investigation, officers seized an air-soft rifle, an air-soft handgun, an air-soft vest and air-soft magazines, which were located inside the juvenile’s home. Below is a photo of the items seized. The juvenile subject was subsequently arrested, issued a citation for PC 422 Criminal Threats, and released to a parent. The juvenile’s parent was also cited for W&I 660.5 Youth Accountability. At this time, there are no additional or outstanding suspects involved in this incident.
OPD takes these threats seriously and seek prosecution, when applicable. We will continue to work with school officials to ensure optimum safety at all school campuses. Thank you to our community for your patience and assistance.
