Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Disposal

Keep Fats, Oils, and Grease out of your Drains!

Prevent the clog, trash the F.O.G.

What's F.O.G. and Why Care?

F.O.G. stands for Fats, Oils, and Grease. These three substances should be disposed of carefully, as they can form into large, thick grease balls that create sewer system blockages. Blockage and overflows caused by F.O.G.s can lead to health hazards and property damage, threaten the environment, cause slow drainage, and disrupt your homes.

What to Do!

"a glove scraping oil out of a pan with a towel"

Step 1: Scrape it! Let oil cool, then wipe or scrape it off and into the trash.

"pan with oil, two sealed cans, and one blue check mark in a circle"

Step 2: Can it! Pour oil in containers and seal them shut

"open trash can"

Step 3: Trash it! Trash all sealed containers into your trash can

NEVER

Rinse oil in the sink, pour it into the drain, or use the garbage disposal or food grinder to get rid of F.O.G.s
