On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at approximately 2:37 AM, Ontario Police Dispatch received a 911 call from a male who stated he was bleeding and in need of medical attention at his home, in the 1300 block of East F St. He also told Dispatch, his wife and two children were at the residence, and that she was bleeding as well. An Ontario resident suffered a severe arm injury while lighting an illegal firework.
Police were called to the area of Sixth Street and Virginia Avenue Thursday night at 7:40 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered a male with a severe left arm injury. The male’s injury, which included the amputation of his left hand, appears to be a result of a delayed detonation from an arial firework. The male was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Traffic investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit and run collision.
On May 19, 2020 at 1:29 PM, a white sedan and a white semi-truck were invovled in a collision in the intersection of Airport Drive and East Terminal Way. After the collision, the white semi-tuck continued to drive west on Airport Drive and fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle is a white semi-truck, with a sleeper cab, towing a white 53 foot semi-trailer. The trailer should be missing the rear metal guard.
