On June 11, 2018 at approximately 10:06pm, Officers were sent to the 900 block of N. Duesenberg regarding an unresponsive woman. Family members of Madis Tolentino (a 48-year-old Ontario resident) found her unresponsive in the residence and immediately called for emergency services.

Ontario Fire Department Paramedics came to the location and determined that Ms. Tolentino was deceased.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office was notified. During the initial examination by the coroner’s investigator, there were indications that Ms. Tolentino’s death was not natural.… Read More

71 local government agencies awarded a total of $37.5 Million in grants to reduce illegal sales of cigarettes and tobacco products to minors and youth

Today, the Ontario Police Department was awarded $45,200 in state grant funding from California Attorney General Xavier Becerra to combat the illegal sale of cigarettes and tobacco products to minors. The grants, $37.5 million in total, were distributed to 71 local entities throughout the state. In May 2007, the Ontario City Council enacted an ordinance which reaffirmed existing Ontario Municipal Codes prohibiting fireworks and declared fireworks within the City of Ontario a nuisance, carrying a $1,000 fine. This fine is in addition to any other civil penalty, criminal prosecution or fine. Ontario revised the ordinance in October 2015 to include:
